This article emphasizes the paradox between the facts that on one hand, academics, students and universities commonly agree that the scientific level of education is rather poor in their own country. On the other hand, academic institutions would rather grant an open tenured position to a researcher rather than a teacher.
Two solutions are recommended in the end of the article to cope with this ambivalence:
